Hallowe'en at The Henry Ford

Lasting 9 days, on 3 separate weekends, Hallowe'en became one of the biggest "Special Programs" with visitation into the tens of thousands.

The research came from early 20th century publications called "The Boogie Books". Many costumes were developed and became signature pieces of the program. We had a fusion of historical fashions and "Boogie Books".

Each night hundreds of lit pumpkins would guide thousands of visitors through the streets of the Village. Along the way, visitors were greeted by elaborately costumed characters at treat stops handing out items for trick or treating.

We had an Elizabethan Spider Queen, a Hallowe"en Marie Antoinette, a Roman Centurion, a Knight in Shining Armor, a variety of witches, pirates and of course the Headless Horseman. These costumes are a "one of a kind" with myself conceptualizing, designing and a talented team of seamstresses producing them.
